Kindergarten - Check!

Today was Maddie's last day of Kindergarten! I can't believe how quickly the year has gone by and I have a 1st grader living in my house now! She had a great teacher and learned so much. I am amazed that she is reading and doing math problems at her age! During the year, Maddie made many new friends and strengthen friendships she had made in pre-school. I am very proud of her and the hard work she has done this year. Kindergarten down and only 12 more grades to go!

Yesterday, Maddie had Awards Day at school. Each child received 2 awards from the teacher. Maddie received Most Artistic and Most Huggable!
Mrs. Barber and Maddie - we loved this teacher!
Today was the last AR (accelerator reader) parade. Maddie was one out of 290 students to march around the halls of her school this morning. She was so proud of herself and I was "beaming" at the seams for her!
Nathan and I joined Maddie for lunch one last time this year. Nathan, of course, thought he was as big as the rest of the kids. He picked out his own lunch and carried his own tray. It was really cute, but I am not ready for him to start school quite yet!

I hope the rest of Maddie's school years are as "smooth sailing" as this year. I am looking forward to watching her grow and strengthen in her academic work, but I have to admit sad at the same time. My little girl is growing up sooo fast!
