Fun at the Fair

We had a great time at the Dickson County Fair this afternoon. Today was the last day for the fair, which meant free parking and free admission, with dollar rides........why not go! So, off we went for some carnival fun! Tucker's parents, Joy, Susan, Sam, and the Anderson family joined us. The kids had a blast riding the rides. They even rode the Farris wheel, which was Maddie's favorite ride of all. Nathan did great, but he was a lot more interested in seeing how the rides worked. Just about every ride he was on, he had his down looking at the engine....he must get this from his Poppy!
I was so nervous that I was going to fall right on my bottom with Nathan in my arms and a crowd of people watching. But, thank goodness, we made it out of there on my two feet!
Now, this is how you eat some ice cream!
Nathan just doesn't show much excitement, can you tell?

Maddie is full of excitement!

John and Emily Anderson - great friends to Maddie and Nathan
Sweet picture, some excitement shown by Nathan.......FINALLY!!!

After a few hours at the fair, we grabbed some cotton candy and a caramel apple and headed home. It was a fun afternoon, but I am definitely getting older....the fair is for the kids for sure! At least, we can add another year at the fair to the books!

I bet you had more fun at the fair than you did watching the UT game! LSU won, but their performace was nothing to brag about!!

You're right, Allison, the fair was a lot more fun! UT is up to it's old tricks again....they need a quaterback!
