We decided on having a low key Valentine's Day this year. Tucker wanted to cook dinner at home with the kids. Maddie wanted to wear a dress, so she picked her favorite dress from the the summer to wear to dinner. We all kinda dressed up a little but for fun. We had crab legs, baked potatoes, salad, bread, and chocolate cake. We set the table with a tablecloth and ate by candlelight. The kids didn't really know what to think. Nathan kept pointing to the candles and saying "hot, hot." Then, after dinner we watched a movie as a family. It was really nice to just stay in and hang out with the kids.

When it rains, it pours......
First of all, let me start out saying: "My name is Mary Beth Hobbs and I am addicted to Facebook." I am enjoying FB so much and can't believe I waited this long to sign up. I have had so much fun over the past two days catching up with old classmates and co-workers. The instant message is really nice!
Today, I went to Dyersburg to clean the rest of my grandmother's house out. The items that did not sell during the little estate sale I had, I loaded up and took to the mission (I am looking forward to seeing how much of a tax deduction I will receive). Anyway, while I was there, I spoke with a man that might be interested in buying her house. While talking to him, the heat comes on and sounds like it is about to explode! It was so loud that I could hardly hear the man speak to me. That is not a good thing when you are trying to sell a house, plus it smelled like natural gas. So after he leaves, I call the heat/air repair man to come and check things out. Now, keep in mind, no one has lived in this house since July. So the guy shows up and guess what, I need to replace the whole unit. There is a huge crack in the chamber and the motor is falling apart and the blades are shot. This is definitely something I didn't want. I was trying to avoid having the pipes freeze and cause a water leak, but no I get this. So after being quoted between $3500 -3700, I am in a deep depression. We are going to look around and get other quotes. I really wish I could sell that house fast. I posted a for sale in the yard today and I hope to have nibbles in the next few days.
I had to post two pictures of Nathan from today. He unbuttoned his pants and put his foot on the window. Apparently, he decided to get real comfy on the ride there. This kid is something, but he is priceless and I love him.
Maddie drew this cute little horse with my IPhone scribble application. Looks pretty good for drawing with her fingers, huh?

I Am Addicted!!
I have signed up for Facebook and let me tell you, I love it!!! I just signed up last night and I can't tell you how many times that I have checked on "my friends" today. It is so much fun and overwhelming to look back at the people I graduated from high school with and see their families. They all have such beautiful children and it is truly amazing. It really makes me miss my high school buddies. I need to be doing other things, but hey the laundry will still be there when I get around to it, right? If you are on Facebook, look me up!

Another Year Older
Yesterday was Tucker's 36th Birthday. He took a personal day off from work, while I worked and the kids went to daycare. I believe he had a nice time at home alone with Bailey and Rosco. I took this picture of three of them last night right before the kids went to bed. Nathan is feeling better and finally got to have his picture taken with a clear nose. We hope you had a great birthday and we love you, Daddy!
Nathan's new favorite phrase these days is "mine, mine, mine." He sounds just like one of the seagulls in "Finding Nemo." I am so glad that he is feeling better and I am ready for spring to arrive. If we are not going to get a good snow, then come on spring and warmer weather, so we can get outside!
Apparently, Maddie thinks it is summer already. She cracks me up wearing these summer gowns in the dead of winter! She tells me, "Momma, we are not sleepin' outside, it is warm in my room." So, off she goes to bed dressed for a hot summer night!

On The Mend
Wow, we have been sick and tired around here. In the last week, Nathan has had the pink eye and pneumonia. He is feeling much better now, but the poor little guy and I have not been getting much sleep. He coughed every night last week and sounded so pitiful. This is the 2nd go around of pneumonia for him. When he was 3 months old, we spent one night @ Children's Hospital. Thank goodness we did not have to go the hospital this time. We caught it just in time, I think. My mom kept him on Friday, so I could go to work. I hated not being able to stay home with him, but I have to help put food on the table and money in our pockets. My mom said they made it just fine. No new pictures of Nathan due to his illness, he has had a nasty nose!
Maddie is doing great! I am thankful that she is well at the moment. I wanted to post a picture of her new favorite past time. Santa Claus brought her a Webkinz for Christmas and she is finally really getting into it. Her cousins have helped us out a lot getting used to the Webkinz World. It is a lot of fun and somewhat addicting. This morning she was in full mode and I captured it! She is growing up so fast and becoming so independent. I often sit and wonder where my little baby girl has gone. I am glad that she likes the computer and I think it teaches her some good skills.
