Well, we have officially become a soccer family. Nathan has been wanting to play basketball, but is too young for the youth teams in our county. We found out that a child can play soccer at the age of 3, so we signed him right up. On the other hand, Maddie has been saying she is too little to play basketball and that she doesn't know how. So, we have not pushed her into playing. But, when we asked her if she wanted to play soccer, of course, she said no. We went ahead and signed her up anyway. Sunday afternoon was their first practice. I was a little nervous about how Maddie would react. Well, she absolutely LOVED it and told me she wanted to play all summer. I think it is going to be a lot of fun and we are all looking forward to the season.
They are on the same team, which is a good thing. They both encouraged each other during practice. I love the way they love each other!
Nathan got a little distracted, but overall did great for a 3 year old!
Maddie did awesome and hung in there the entire time. I predict good things in her future!
