Father/Daughter Dance 2010

On Saturday night, Maddie and Tucker had a date to the Father/Daughter Valentine Dance. Tucker's mom treated the girls to a mini-manicure that afternoon. Maddie loved it and decided on pink glitter fingernail polish. When she got home, she took a bath and washed her hair and then we rolled her hair in sponge rollers. She looked so cute, but kept asking me when she could take them out. I remember sleeping in these rollers when I was a kid, she got off quite easily!
When we took her hair out of the rollers, it was sooo curly that I had to put it up just to calm it down. She requested a little make-up, so I applied some blush and lipstick. She looks so adorable, but definitely growing up too quickly.

We went to Aunt Kara's house to have pictures made with Audrey, Hallie, Uncle David, and Poppy.

The beautiful girls
Nathan had to get into the photo session. This is MY FAVORITE!

Everyone had a great time dancing and playing games. Maddie finished in the top four in two games. Each "couple" had a picture made and the girls got tiaras and corsages. Maddie loved her special night with Daddy and so did Tucker!

Tucker's 37th Birthday

Thursday was Tucker's 37th Birthday. The kids were very excited as they waited on him to come home after work. Once he entered the door, they both started singing "Happy Birthday" at the top of their lungs.....priceless. Then it was time for Daddy to open his present.

Maddie and Nathan giving Daddy some good ole' birthday love.
Daddy got a new pair of tennis shoes he wanted - that he so "secretly" hinted to me in an email. This guy loves shoes and probably has more than any woman I know!
Here Tucker is reading an invitation to a nice, quiet dinner with me to Maggiano's in Nashville on Friday night. We have always wanted to eat there, but unable to find the time. I planned this dinner to surprise him with a group of our friends joining us. Reservations were set for 7:00 and Tucker and I were to arrive around 7:15. I had this planned for 3 weeks and could not wait to see the surprise on his face.
This is when Tucker and I arrived and he saw his friends sitting at the table waiting on his arrival. He was totally shocked and surprised, he had no idea! I pulled this event off without any suspensions from him.....I was about ready to bust before we got there!

Happy Birthday, Tucker......I gotcha!
We had a blast celebrating Tucker's birthday this year with the great company of our friends! Times like these really are priceless!
